A major attraction for three days every June is Fairport Canal Days, which features over 300 artists, live music including the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, and dozens of regional food vendors. Fairport also offers a music and food festival in the summer, a weekly Car Cruz on Tuesdays, and a Thursday concert series. There are other festivals and activities during the non-summer months, including the Scarecrow Festival in October, which is a favorite of the locals and draws crowds by the thousands. There is something for everyone all year-round in this truly “Jewel” of a town.
